Become a Real Estate Salesperson

  • You may take the required 75-Hour Salesperson Pre-licensing Course online or in a classroom.
  • Salespersons must take a 25-hour Salespersons post-license course in their first year of licensure. Click here to register for and take an approved post-license course online.

Become A Real Estate Broker

Here are the steps you’ll need to follow to become a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Georgia:

  • You may take the required 60-Hour Broker Pre-licensing Course online or in a classroom.

NAR Designations & Certifications

Designations

Designations are specialized credentials for REALTORS® acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors. Designations offer extensive benefits and require dues and continued membership. REALTORS® may list credentials after their name. 

Accredited Buyer’s Representative® (ABR®)

ABR® designees work with homebuyers at every stage of the home buying process. The designation program establishes a foundation of training, skills, and resources to help real estate professionals succeed as buyer’s representatives.

Accredited Land Consultant (ALC)

Become an expert in all areas of land real estate. The designation requires successful completion of a rigorous LANDU education program, a proven track record of transaction performance, and a commitment to professional growth.

Certified Commercial
Investment Member (CCIM)

The Certified Commercial Investment (CCIM) designation is commercial real estate’s global standard for professional achievement, earned through an extensive curriculum of 200 classroom hours and professional experiential requirements.

Certified International
Property Specialist (CIPS)

The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation provides real estate professionals with the knowledge, research, network, and tools to globalize their businesses.

Certified Property Manager® (CPM®)

CPM® designees are recognized as experts in real estate management. Holding this designation demonstrates expertise and integrity to employers, owners, and investors.

Brokerage Manager (CRB)

The Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation is designed to sharpen expertise in brokerage management.

Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)

Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents, managers and brokers. Earning it involves course work and volume requirements.

Counselor of Real Estate® (CRE®)

The Counselors of Real Estate® is an organization of commercial property experts worldwide who provide seasoned, objective advice on real property and land-related matters.

General Accredited Appraiser (GAA)

For general appraisers, this designation is awarded to those whose education and experience exceed state appraisal certification requirements.

NAR’s Green Designation (GREEN)

Differentiate your business by mastering sustainable housing, appealing to eco-minded buyers and boosting property value potential.

Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI)

Gain in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and the sales process.

Performance Management Network (PMN)

Focus on negotiating strategies and tactics, networking and referrals, business planning and systems, personal performance management and  leadership development.

REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE)

The REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) is the only professional designation designed specifically for REALTOR® association executives.

Residential Accredited Appraiser (RAA)

The RAA is for State Residential or General Appraisers who have completed appraisal education beyond qualification as a residential appraiser.

Seller Representative Specialist (SRS)

The Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance performance in seller representation.

Office REALTORS® (SIOR)

SIOR designees are commercial specialists in industrial and office markets, top-producing professionals and respected industry leaders.

Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®)

NAR Family Certifications

Like designations, certifications are specialized credentials for REALTORS®. Maintaining a certification requires only an application fee and continued membership in good standing in NAR, but no annual dues.
